    Description

    Civil War era reproduction skirt sized small. The waist measures 35" (adjustable). The skirt measures 44" from the top of the waistband to the bottom. The circumference of the skirt is 130 . The skirt is made to go over a small hooped petticoat. Perfect skirt to wear with a number of tops such as Basque bodies, Swiss bodices, Guimpe blouse and Medici belts.
    The skirt is made of a beautiful fabric with the look of hand woven linen. The fiber content is unknown. It is made with a double opening, the waistband is made in two sections, front and back.  The side openings can be left open an used with a period "pocket" or snaps or hooks and eyes can be added to keep them closed. It fastens inside at the front  side waist using two large skirt hooks and eyes. They can easy be moved to accommodate changes in waist size.  The bottom edge is finished with a protective black cotton "drag hem."
    This is a new item and has never been worn. There are some pulled threads in the fabric. No holes or stains.
