    Description

    Girl's  Size 8 Civil War Style Pink,
    Blue  and White Floral Print
    Dress and Petticoat .
    The dress is made of sheer 100% cotton voile in a floral pattern with pink and blue flowers with yellow centers and green leaves..   It is a gathered bodice design with the bodice and skirt gathered to a wide waistband. It buttons down the back with vintage glass buttons made of white frosted glass. The dress has bishop or shirt sleeves which button at the wrist, and the armsey of the sleeves is strengthened with tiny light blue piping. The same blue piping finishes the neck edge. Where ever possible I have flat felled the seams for extra strength.  The dress is decorated with extra fine white antique lace on the bodice, cuffs and skirt. The skirt has a 5/8" turned hem.  The skirt should accommodate a corded petticoat.
    The size 8 dress is patterned for a 27" chest and 23" waist. The actual measurement of the dress:  Neck opening 16".  Back neck to the top of the waistband 12 1/2". Sleeve length is 21".  Wrist  6". Waist 24".  Top of waistband to bottom of the skirt 22 1/4".  Circumference of the skirt 80".
    I suggest that the dress be cold water washed and hang dried. The glass buttons can be broken in the dryer.
