    Description

    This navy blue 100% pure wool men's jacket has been converted into a copy of a Civil War sack coat. One original buttonhole was sewn shut, three were added and four gold eagle buttons were attached. The collar was tacked down flat. The front bottom pockets were removed. If you look very closely there is some indentation of the original pockets in the wool. However, from the photos you can see it is very slight. This jacket has a small upper left pocket which is not on an original sack coat. This coat is also lined with satin material instead of muslin like an original. However, this coat looks very authentic and would pass in a lineup of men. It would be a great starter jacket for a new reenactor or for a theatrical performance or holiday.
